DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may experience any of the following symptoms:

Unusual noise and/or smell from the engine compartment
Charging system warning light is ON
Overheating

This may be caused by a faulty drive belt auto tensioner pulley.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicles repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Inspect drive belt auto tensioner pulley for damage.
- If damage, replace with modified part according to Workshop Manual (section 01-10 DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT).
  NOTE: The A/C belt and drive belt must also be replaced at the same time. Be sure to order all 3 parts.
Verify repair.
