Symptom and Conditions

**INFORMATION ORIGINALLY RELEASED IN JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2007 M-TIPS
BUT HAS BEEN UPDATED 2/13/2008***

Repair Procedure

If a PAD indicator is inoperative or dim, or if DTC B1884 or B1990 is
retrieved, verify the PAD bulb is not burned out (filament still intact)
and is the correct wattage.
The correct bulb wattage is 1.7W (Replacement Part # H450-55-431).

The incorrect bulb may have been installed during a previous repair for
a burned out PAD indicator. If the PAD indicator bulb is intact and is
correct but the indicator is still dim or inoperative or if DTC B1884
or B1990 is still present, proceed with normal diagnostics in Workshop
Manual section 08 - RESTRAINTS.
