For the 2006 Mazda3, internal changes were made to the PJB (Passenger
Junction Box), specifically the removal of fuses No. 50 and 51 and the
addition of fuse No. 38. The 2006 Wiring Diagram reflects these changes.

For 2007, further changes were made to the PJB where the doors cannot be
locked by the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter if any door or the
lift gate (5-Door) is open (4-Door trunk lid is excluded).  If a 2007 MY
PJB (BAN6 or BAP8) is installed on a 2004-2006 vehicle, this feature
will carry over.

Although the internals of the PJB have been changed with the revision,
the 2006-2007 PJBs can be installed on 2004-2005 vehicles.  Mazda does
not recommend installing 2004-2005 PJBs into 2006-2007 vehicles.

On the 2004-2005 Mazda3, if the PJB was or is to be replaced, newer
revision level parts will have slight changes that impact the vehicle's
circuit diagram as well as electrical diagnostics.  When performing any
electrical diagnostics on 2004-2005 Mazda3 vehicles with a revised PJB
installed, reference the applicable 2006 or 2007 Mazda3 wiring diagram
(depending on the PJB installed in teh vehicle) for any PJB related
diagnosis.  On 2006 Mazda3 vehicles with a revised PJB installed for
2007 model, reference the 2007 Mazda3 wiring diagram for any PJB related
diagnosis.
