BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ON CONSTANTLY

DESCRIPTION

Brake warning light in the combination meter is ON constantly. This is caused by surge current damaging a transistor which controls the brake warning light illumination in the speedometer assembly. The speedometer assembly has been modified to protect this transistor.

Customers complaining of this subject should have the vehicle inspected and if necessary, use the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer complaint
2. Replace the speedometer assembly per the Workshop Manual.
3. Verify repair.
